I am a London based self taught photographer. I use a mix of modern and Victorian techniques to achieve an elegiac quality to my work. I draw on my personal experiences, to express deep and complementary feelings. My French Catholic upbringing led me to marvel at the universe in a meditative fashion. Mixing digital negatives with Platinum printing and more recently Cyanotypes is a way to capture and reveal nuances, often as a “Laudate Dominum”. Raised in Versailles, a city both splendid and still mourning the "Ancien Regime" in many ways, I have a deeply ingrained aesthetic of the geometric as well as  the poignant sense of times gone and lost.  It brought me to reveal the passage of time with long exposures, as well as photographs of our  present as being already gone, a fading harbinger of its imminent disparition. Laudate and Elegy are never more so present than when I use large format silver processes. The sense of time in laborious processes, the craft required would it be with Platinum, Cyanotypes  or silver final prints is my way to tell the world I was there with full conscience  of our human condition impermanence.
